| SIRS to Unveil 12th Library Print in SIRS Celebrates Public Libraries Collection at Summer ALA in Toronto
BOCA RATON, FL, June 3, 2003
- Visit SIRS Booth #329 at Summer ALA
in Toronto to receive an invitation to the unveiling of the twelfth
library print in SIRS Celebrates Public Libraries
Collection. The popular Bookmobile and Pack
Horse Librarians of Kentucky prints will be on display at the
booth, where attendees can also enter a raffle to win the new original
framed print or a set of SIRS Lewis & Clark Photo Essays*.
Three years ago, SIRS initiated a series of fine prints to
recognize and honor the essential role public libraries play in our
culture. Today, many of these prints grace the walls of libraries
across the country. The artist for the collection is Joe Davis, whose
work has been widely exhibited throughout the United States and Japan.
His illustrations have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York
Observer and many other national publications. Davis was also
commissioned to provide paintings for the Steven Spielberg movie,
Batteries Not Included.
